My first foray into the super folksy art of weaving on a loom. Completed woven project using scraps of African fabric, homemade vintage fabric "yarn", wool yarn, and cotton warp. The finished weave was then machine stitched onto piece of vintage ledger paper I found at an estate sale. Abstract bits of fabric finish the background of this original piece.
Finished with a second-hand square frame.
*Subtle irregularities and natural wear in the materials are intentional and speak to the slow, handmade process behind the art.
